Help cats find their forever homes

VOLUNTEER

Streetborn is a proud partner of Petco Love. We have cats available for adoption at the Petco in Chester located at: 12611 Rte 1, Chester, VA 23831.

We are actively looking for volunteers to help care for cats and find them their forever homes! No professional animal-care experience is required – we’ll teach you our routines and protocols. We simply ask that volunteers are dependable, comfortable working around cats with different personalities and needs, willing to follow Streetborn’s care and sanitation procedures, and ready to get a little cat hair on their clothes.

  • Habitat Maintenance: Replacing soiled blankets, organizing the supply cabinet, and refreshing toys.
  • Socialization & Enrichment: Spending dedicated time playing with, and socializing the cats to help reduce their stress levels.
  • Health Tracking: Observing and communicating any signs of illness (sneezing, lethargy, changes in appetite)
